RESEARCH AND DOCUMENTATION

Existing Research and Documentation | Recent Accomplishments

Ongoing Research

Our outcomes are the extension of the scientific research that has already been documented linking the Arts to improved academic, creative, and social skills.

The primary area of documentation demonstrates that Life Learning Techniques accelerates Pre-K learning and retention of knowledge in the core subject areas of Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Development.

Our partnering programs are preschool programs, K-12 public schools and charter schools.

Each program chooses their own assessment tool. Our documentation is conducted with the following focus groups:

Focus Group A: these groups of children and teachers use the techniques promoted by the Fostering Arts-Mind Education Foundation.

Focus Group B: these groups of children and teachers do not use the techniques promoted by the Fostering Arts-Mind Education Foundation.

Organizations that receive the services of the Fostering Arts-Mind Education Foundation are required to document, using pre, mid, and post results in the form of:

1) Developmental Summaries (these include percentile rank)
2) Class Progress Reports (shows growth in learning over time)
3) Narratives of teacher and child responses
In the near future, an additional evaluative component will be initiated in order to look at multiple causal links and variables to refine our educational models.
